Snow Everywhere!

Daddy and Mama took us to see the snow!
We got up super early and drove a long, long time, but when we got to the snow, it was worth it!

First thing you have to do it put on your snow clothes.
You have to do this, because snow is very cold and the snow is everywhere!!!

I was nervous at first--I have no memories of snow and ice, and I kept slipping.
Good thing snow clothes are so fluffy and soft!

Once everyone was ready, we all sat in a big sleigh and took a ride to ski-school!

The boys skied, but I was too little, so Daddy took me to ride on a big donut.
I was not a fan at first, but I had my binky, so I felt a little braver.

Daddy gave me a push and I went skooting to Mama's arms...

It was great! I got right out and shouted, "Again!"

I also liked the donut merry-go-round.

After a few hours I was ready for a break, so I plopped on the ground and tasted the snow.

The boys didn't want to rest. They ran all over the place while Daddy, Mama, and I watched.

I have to say my favorite part was eating the snow.

I would grab a handful of clean white snow
then Mama would pour rootbeer on it and I got to eat it.
Delicious!

When I had my fill of snow, I begged Daddy to help me slide down the big snow hill.
It was fun, but once was enough for me.

In no time at all, it was time to go home.
I was NOT happy about it.

It was a lovely Snow Day.

A Day in the Life of a 19 Month old

Well, I'm 19 months old now and getting bigger every day!

Well, sort of.
I'm still small enough to sleep in a drawer, if I wanted to.

Of course, I DON'T want to, but the point is that I could.

Anyway, I keep busy every day doing lot's of fun, important things.

I get up, eat breakfast, and then my favorite way to spend the morning is to go to the park.
Mama doesn't like taking me to the park, though. She says I keep trying to play with toys that are too big for me.

I see her point, but the big toys are interesting! Like this bucket-thing. It twirls round and round! I love it, but it scares me too. Any time I climb in, Mama has to save me.

This bridge is fascinating too. It takes me a long time to cross it, and sometimes I lose my footing, but I have to cross it five or six times, just to see if I can.

These steps are scary, which means I have to climb them as often as possible. Mama lets me do it, but I think it makes her nervous.

Man, sometimes I wish I was bigger.

After a morning of playtime, I take a nap, eat lunch, and then putter around the house. I like best to play with Mama. I climb on her legs and keep her busy with my messy adventures.
What would she do without me?

The best part is when Daddy gets home at dinner time. I run to meet him at the door and he hugs me and plays with me. I LOVE him!
(Unless he has a beard--I am NOT a fan of the beard.)

After dinner, a bath, and a few songs with Daddy I go to bed.
And that's my day!

Buh-Bye

Old and New Stuff

The other day, Daddy and Mama took us to two museums.
The first one was all about old stuff, like Mummies.
I liked it very much.
It had an underground tunnel with lots of pictures on the wall and a big hole in the ground.

Mama helped me look, but she wouldn't let me go down to check it out...grrrr!

When we got away from the hole, Mama let me down and I wandered round and round the tunnels.

There was so much to see!

Check this guy out! I started at him for a long time. I want a hat like his!

There was so much to see that I got tired and Daddy carried me around on his shoulders.
Thanks Daddy!

When we were done running around the inside, there was even more to see outside! This time I rode around in the stroller, which suited me just right. I was kind of tired.

And I could see plenty from my seat.

I did get out for a minute to sit with the boys--gotta hang with my bros whenever I can!

I also had to check out the garden they had for people to explore. So pretty!

The next stop was a museum about new things like rockets and space (Daddy called it NASA).

It was a dark place full of weird things I didn't understand, but I enjoyed every minute of it!

The boys spent a lot of time in this funny room, pretending they were flying a rocket in space.
Humph! It didn't look like a rocket to me!

I have no idea what I was doing here, but I look great, right?

Of course, I look pretty in everything!

We had so much fun exploring those museums! Let's go back again!

Ah Chris'mis!

This was my second Chris'mis ever and it was GREAT!
See, I don't really remember the first one (I was just a baby then--AGES ago!), so it was like a whole new Holiday for me.

It all started with a few days after Thanksgiving, when we decorated the house.

Daddy brought SO many boxes down from the attic and Mama opened ALL of them!
They were full of toys, books, sparkly ornaments, and movies. Daddy let us watch "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" while he and Mama decorated the house.

I spent most of the afternoon in a box, watching it all happen--best seat in the house!

It was only a few weeks after that that I met this guy...Santa Claus!
I knew all about him from Brady and Tommy.
Daddy and Mama thought I would be scared of him, but that was so silly! Who could be scared of a guy like this? For crying out loud--he gave me candy! Um, instant BFF!

The night before Chris'mis a lot of our family came over and we had a big dinner and some presents. I was too excited to eat much and I flatly refused to wear the silly paper crown Mama put on my head...

...but I really enjoyed the presents and playing with my uncles and aunties.

The next morning was Chris'mis and, I'll be honest, I had no idea what was going to happen.
For a while I wasn't sure I would like Chris'mis.

First, I was dragged from my bed before the sun was even up.
My eyes were so blurry I couldn't see what was going on!
But after a while I saw a few things that made me realize this was going to be a really amazing day!

Check out the stockings! One of them was MINE! See? It's the one with my name on it.
It was full of toys and candy! SO cool!

Then there was the tree. The tree itself wasn't anything new. After all, I had helped decorate it, so I had seen it all month. But the stuff around it! Toys, presents, and a fabulous little orange bear!
I stood for a long time just staring at our beautiful tree.

Then we got down to business and opened the stockings and all the presents. I got so many toys! I think my favorite present of the day was my huge, pink hula hoop! It's sparkly, pink, and noisy--what could be better?

Merry Chris'mis Everybody!

BFF

This is me and my best friend, Ellie. We play together all the time.
She is two weeks older than me, but we are the same size. People sometimes think we are twins.
When I pretend to call someone on my toy phone, it's always Ellie. When we walk by her house, I call her name. And if she sees me out there, she makes her Mama open the door so she can holler at me.

We play at church too, in nursery. We putter around, doing our own thing, but every time we see each other we stop, hold out our hands, and say "Yaaaah!"

Ellie, you are the best BFF ever!

Holidays...like Thanksgiving!

Humph! I just read Brady's blog about Thanksgiving and I don't think he did it right! He forgot about Tommy and me!

Well, I can take care of that!

For his information, I like Thanksgiving too!
My favorite part was the creamy fruit salad. I liked it so much that after the first bite with a spoon, I dove in head-first!

A little messy, I'll admit, but "num-num!!!"

Mama put in on the floor for me because she didn't want to get covered in cream...and she was laughing too hard to hold it steady. Silly Mama!

And no one is allowed to complain--I cleaned up after myself!

Tommy had a great time too. He spent most of his time (after dinner) hiding in a blanket tent with Bruce and Karren.
Actually, Brady and I played in there too--tents are awesome!
There was lots of love and fun on Thanksgiving. Hugs, cuddles, and everyone laughed a lot.
Brady is right--it is a wonderful holiday...but looking around the house, I'm going to have to say Christmas is looking a little more exciting!

Happy Holidays, everyone!

Bubba-bucker

I've decided to let you in on a secret.
My very favorite food (except chocolate, of course) is "Bubba-bucker" (aka peanut butter).
I'll eat a bubba-bucker sandwich any time of day and I can smell one from anywhere in the house--and I always come running. I love this stuff so much I'll even eat my brothers' bubba-bucker crusts that they leave behind on their plates.

You know, all this talk about food reminds me...I'm hungry!

"Mama! Bubba-bucker!"
